USB14-715. Requests for Review; Supreme Court Petition for Review. Amend. The proposed amendments to Rule 14-715: (1) clarify the process to request a review by the Admissions Committee of a final determination, (2) clarify the standard under which the Admissions Committee reviews determination, and (3) includes cleanup for clarity and consistency.
I think this is a move in the right direction, but my comment is this should be available monthly to individuals who are eligible for admission. Our market needs lawyers from outside the state and wait times have been up to 12 months for some of the individuals that have joined our firm. I would also love to see some revision to the character & fitness committee’s process, which can be lengthy and tends to revolve around the months of the bar exam.
