URAP002 Adds Rule 14(a) to the list of rules that the court cannot suspend.
The rule sweeps too broadly. The other rules listed in proposed Rule 2 deal only with time deadlines. In contrast, Rule 14(a) includes provisions about the content of a petition to appeal from an administrative order and other provisions that are typically not deemed jurisdictional. The proposed amendment should be limited to the time deadlines in Rule 14(a).
“Adds Rule 14(a) to the list of rules that the court cannot suspend.” With regards to this rule, I am in agreement that the proposed amendment should be limited to the time deadlines in Rule 14(a) as this particular rule now is overbroad.
