NOMINEE NAMED TO FILL ALTA JUSTICE COURT VACANCY

Alta, UT— The Salt Lake County Nominating Commission has announced the appointment of Honorable Paul Curtis Farr to fill the Town of Alta Justice Court vacancy. The position will replace Judge Clinton Balmforth who retired from the bench on March 31, 2017.

Judge Paul C. Farr was appointed as a justice court judge in 2010 and currently serves in Herriman and Sandy City. Judge Farr received an A.S. in History from Dixie State University in 1995, a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Weber State University in 1997, and a J.D. from Brigham Young University in 2000. Judge Farr has been a member of the Utah State Bar since 2000. He had a civil litigation practice and was a partner in a mid-sized Salt Lake City law firm prior to his appointment to the bench.
