NOMINEE NAMED TO FILL PLAIN CITY JUSTICE COURT VACANCY
Plain City, UT— The Weber County Nominating Commission has announced the appointment of Bryan Jon Memmott to fill the Plain City Justice Court vacancy. The position will replace Judge James Beesley who retired from the bench on July 1, 2017.
Bryan J. Memmott obtained a Bachelor of Arts from BYU in 1999 and a Juris Doctor from Arizona State University College of Law in 2002. Following graduation from law school, Memmott was commissioned as an officer and served for nearly five years as a JAG in the United States Air Force. Upon honorably separating after his commitment, Memmott worked for Davis Miles, PLLC, in Arizona, as a civil litigation attorney. He left Davis Miles, PLLC, to open his own law firm, Brown & Memmott Law. In 2014 he decided it was time to move back home to Utah and has been working at Memmott & Associates, with a focuses on mediation, family law and civil litigation.
Memmott’s appointment to the bench is subject to completion of the court’s new judge orientation and certification by the Utah Judicial Council.
