Judge Debra J. Jensen was appointed to the Second District Juvenile Court by Governor Gary R. Herbert in June 2018. She serves Davis, Morgan, and Weber counties. Judge Jensen received a law degree from the J. Reuben Clark School of Law at Brigham Young University and graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Prior to her appointment to the bench, Judge Jensen served as the managing attorney for the Davis County Guardian ad Litem Office. Before becoming a Guardian ad Litem, she worked for several years in private practice and as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Utah in the Human Services Division handling child support enforcement and paternity establishment. She is a former Adjunct Professor at Seattle University and Business Mentor at Western Governors University. Judge Jensen has served on numerous committees including the Utah Supreme Court Advisory Committee on the Rules of Juvenile Procedure and the Children's Justice Center Advisory Board for Davis County. Judge Jensen is board certified as a Child Welfare Law Specialist by the National Association of Counsel for Children. 11/18
