Judges' Biographies
SIXTH DISTRICT JUVENILE COURT JUDGES
Judge Brody L. Keisel was appointed to the Sixth District Juvenile Court in December 2017 by Governor Gary R. Herbert. He serves Sanpete, Sevier, Piute, Wayne, Garfield and Kane counties. Judge Keisel received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University in 2000 and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Nebraska in 2003. Prior to his appointment, Judge Keisel served as the Deputy Sanpete County Attorney from 2003 through 2010, and then was elected as the Sanpete County Attorney where he worked until his appointment. While in office he served as chair of the Utah County and District Attorneys Association from November 2012 to November 2013. Judge Keisel also chaired the Utah Indigent Defense Funds Board from April 2013 until his appointment. He served on the Attorney General's Advisory Committee, represented the Sixth District on the Utah Office of Victims of Crime Board, played a central role in establishing the Sanpete County Children's Justice Center and directed the Sanpete County Victims Advocate Program. Judge Keisel enjoyed working as an instructor with the Utah Department of Corrections and teaching as an adjunct professor of criminal law at Snow College. 3/19
