Intent:
To ensure that a juvenile's parent or guardian has the opportunity to address the court prior to the imposition of sentence.
Applicability:
This rule shall apply to all juvenile traffic and parking offenses.
Statement of the Rule:
(1) Upon a finding of guilt of a traffic or parking offense, a juvenile's parent or guardian may address the court regarding circumstances related to the imposition of sentence, and may address other issues with the permission of the court.
(2) Nothing in this rule shall be construed as authorizing a juvenile's non-attorney parent or guardian to act as the juvenile's attorney in the proceedings.
