The final candidate will replace Judge\u00a0Stevan Ridge who retired last year.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Following is an alphabetical listing of the nominees followed by place of employment and\u00a0residence:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Randy Birch, J.D., Justice Court Judge for Heber and Pleasant Grove, resident of\u00a0 Heber,<\/li>\n<li>Shaynie R. Hunter, J.D., Attorney at Law, resident of Elk Ridge,<\/li>\n<li>John H. Jacobs, J.D., Attorney at Law, resident of Alpine, and<\/li>\n<li>Richard T. Kennerley, J.D., Attorney at Law, resident of Orem.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">A comment period will be held through November 2, 2023. Once application materials are\u00a0provided to the Utah County Commission, it will have 30 days to make a final selection. Their\u00a0selection must then be ratified by the Utah Judicial Council.
