The position will replace Judge Ron Elton who will retire in September.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">To be considered for a justice court judgeship in Tooele County, candidates must be at least 25 years of age, a citizen of the United States, a Utah resident for at least three years, and have a\u00a0degree from a law school that would make one eligible to apply for admission to a bar in any state\u00a0 in the United States. In addition, applicants must be a resident of the county, an adjacent county,\u00a0or the judicial district in which the justice court is located either upon appointment or within a\u00a0reasonable time following appointment.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Information on judicial retention and performance evaluation is posted on the Utah State Court\u2019s\u00a0website at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.utcourts.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/www.utcourts.gov&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1687904046431000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1LBj6M8Q67GZ-HLpYDNUNM\">www.utcourts.gov<\/a>\u00a0under employment opportunities.
