The position will replace Judge John\u00a0 R. Cox who retired in December, 2022.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Following are the nominees followed by place of employment and residence:<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u2022 Judge Barbara Finlinson, J.D., Juab County and Nephi City Justice Court Judge,\u00a0 resident of Nephi,<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u2022 Judge Mark McIff, J.D., Judge in 12 other justice courts in the Sixth District, resident of\u00a0 Richfield, and<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u2022 David Tibbs, J.D., retired attorney at law, resident of Manti.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">A comment period will be held through March 19, 2023. A final candidate will then be\u00a0 selected by the Sanpete County Commission within 30 days. The selection must then be\u00a0 certified by the Utah Judicial Council.
