The position will replace Judge Roy\u00a0Brown who retired in December, 2022.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Following are the nominees followed by place of employment and residence:<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u2022 Donald Bone, Wayne County School District, resident of Loa,<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u2022 Judge Mark McIff, J.D., Judge in 11 other justice courts in the Sixth District, resident of\u00a0 Richfield, and<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u2022 Jeffrey Owens, J.D., attorney at law, resident of Panguitch.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">A comment period will be held through February 16, 2023. A final candidate will then be\u00a0 selected by the Wayne County Commission within 30 days. The selection must then be\u00a0 certified by the Utah Judicial Council.
