The position will replace Judge Clinton Balmforth who retired effective March 31, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Following are the nominees followed by place of employment and residence:<br \/>\n\u2022 Honorable Michael Peter Boehm, J.D., South Jordan Justice Court Judge, resident of South Jordan<br \/>\n\u2022 Honorable Paul Curtis Farr, J.D., Sandy and Herriman Justice Court Judge, resident of Herriman<br \/>\n\u2022 Bryan Jon Memmott, J.D., Attorney at Law, resident of Kaysville<\/p>\n<p>A comment period will be held through June 26, 2017, before a final candidate is selected by the Mayor of Alta, who has 30 days to make an appointment. The appointment is subject to ratification by the Alta Town Council. The Utah Judicial Council must then certify the appointment.
