Shared Master Offense Table
This table contains all active state, county and municipal offense codes. The Utah Prosecution Council, Administrative Office of the Courts, Driver License Division and Bureau of Criminal Identification all contribute to the Shared Master Offense Table (SMOT).
The Shared Master Offense Table is updated on the 15th of each month. If the 15th is on a weekend or holiday, it will be posted the first business day after the 15th. The most recent full version of the SMOT table is available for download here:
Recent Significant SMOT Updates
On May 1, 2024, the AOC updated a significant number of SMOT entries resulting from legislative changes enacted during the 2024 general session AND updates to administrative code rule entries formerly attributed to "Parks and Recreation." On May 3, 2023, the AOC updated a significant number of SMOT entries resulting from legislative changes enacted during the 2023 general session. A detailed list of these updates is available in the following spreadsheet and memo:

On January 3, 2023, the AOC updated a significant number of SMOT entries for offenses found in Title 76, Chapters 5 and 5b, as well as the DUI and Refusing to Submit to a Chemical Test offenses in 41-6a-502, 41-6a-503, and 41-6a-520. A detailed list of these updates made on January 3, 2023, and the reasons for these changes, are outlined in the following spreadsheet and memo:

Adding or Updating Local Codes to the Shared Master Offense Table
You may request an offense code be entered or updated here. If the request includes five or more offense codes the request should be sent in a spreadsheet format. Please include the following information in the spreadsheet: offense code violation, offense code effective date, description (limited to 60 characters including spaces), default severity class, recommended fine amount, and if the offense requires a mandatory court appearance.
